What does it mean to be happy?

To be happy, or not to be happy? That is the question! :)

To be happy is to bring positive things in life, like your first experience going to disneyland! Eating your first ice cream cone with sprinkles on the top. Living in a positive set in life, where ever you go to. Think of the ways not to think negative things, but look at the fabulous you get to do in life. Live freely with your life, think of hobbies you like to enjoy doing, or just make yourself happy!

Philippine Airport.

I felt like I was in a big black tunnel surrounded by giants who smelled like feet in a supermarket, and I mysteriously got myself lost in to the crowd. But I was able to find my family 15 seconds later. As I was experiencing more of the Philippines, my family and I were heading towards the entrance outside the airport. My cousin started to throw up green mushy carrots from eating airplane food, as I was standing there laughing, amused, and thinking to myself, “Ewww! That’s disgusting!”

I always wanted to visit a different country before, to tell you the truth I actually didn’t know what to expect. When I first arrived in the Philippine airport, the first person I saw was a lady who was wearing a white t-shirt, ripped-up blue jean shorts, and a pair of red sandals. She was waiting patiently in the corner of the entrance. She started walking towards me, as I was thinking in my head. Who was this lady? Do I know her? How did she know my name?

My mom introduced myself first. “Lea, this is your auntie Rose!” As I was standing there patiently greeting her, I knew for sure, she was definitely my aunt! As my auntie was passing around greeting each family member, she started squeezing my little piggy cheeks. “Oh Lea, you’ve grown so much!” She continued pinching my cheeks so hard that I couldn’t feel them anymore.

I always thought that everyone here would look like people from the pictures in the airport with happy, large, and big fat faces on a cover of a Philippine magazine, but I guess not. By far, this was an awkward experience. My cousin and I decided to fool around in the luggage area and play power rangers! I must say it was very crowded with many tourists and Filipinos surrounding the whole area, it was insane!

One thing I remember when I first arrived, a man had gotten himself arrested for stealing a flight attendant’s purse while getting off the plane. He ran through the airport like if he were to use the bathroom. He wore a tight zipped-up jacket, a pair of goofy ripped-up jeans, and was massively tall as I remembered. As more and more people were arriving, the whole luggage area became more crowed as we went along.

Rittenberg response.

1. Rittenberg takes you where he would describe where he came from. What he did as a normal 16 year old. He wants other people to listen what he had to say about the world. And how he wished would make it better, not worse. In the story he writes and describes his family past and how tomorrow would be a better day for him. I can relate to that cause my parents were from a different country.

2. Rittenberg uses the past as if he was part of that past, he would as

3. Rittenberg said that his parents

I thought that the writer had a lot of things to say about the digital world. She feels and writes about things where she feel most comfortable in and that’s writing. She wrote a few things about how she met her husband over the internet and how the world changed into a world where didn’t as comfortable in. She writes like if she was a professional writer, wrote whatever she felt about the world. Like a story you would hear on a local newspaper. She likes to live simple and just write a few things on paper.

My experience with writing.

Filed under: Uncategorized — efsw02 @ 3:22 pm and tagged

My experience in writing is probably when I was in 8th grade, where I had to write an essay on why should I be fit to be principal for the day. Which was a hard question to answer, but what I didn’t know is that you would have to dress professional. And add all these fancy educational things for the day and hang with the actually principal of the school. I seriously didn’t know what to say, but all I said was that I could have have a short day and bring treats to everyone in the school. Which would been awesome, but I would have to spend over $60 dollars. My teachers were stunned that i’ve written so much for a very quiet student in my school. My old school only had about 100 students, and about 20 students per class. That was really tiny or small? But it’s really interesting once you think about it. I guess writing takes a lot of thinking in the mind, where you can take one information in a whole paper.  I’m actually not really much of a writer, but I like to think whatever is going on around me or just out there. For teachers who write, should let student write whatever comes to mind at school, home, or work.
